Kosta and his quince

This sculpture I found at the corner of Jurišićeva and Kurelčeva street not far away from Zagreb main square. As much as  know it was made by one Croatian artist called Kosta Angeli Radovani who lived through the 20. century and died in 2002. His main theme was woman body and nudes. He often compared a woman body with a certain fruits - considering the form and shape of course.
For that reason he called all his sculptures Dunja (eng. quince) - as it was the fruit and a very common female name.

  1. It is a nice sculpture, and i does rapresent a female body, but it is not made by Kosta Angeli Radovani. This is a work by Raoul Goldoni, born 1919. in Split.
